Mike Rashid Quotes

“You can do amazing things. Don’t be afraid of that hard work. My workouts are tough. That’s what you want. You don’t want nothing easy. Easy ain’t going to get you nothing. You know, it may get you something. You may maintain and what not. Easy may work for some people, but I don’t want that.”

“I feel squats are the foundation for any athlete, in any sport. I like to incorporate power lifting principles in progressing to a max effort for a neural response which translates to strength. However I like to progress with bodybuilding styled rep ranges which expands cells translating to larger muscles. After which I activate that inner athlete to do any type of crazy burn out or drop set which translate to badassery.”

“I see all of you bad asses killing it in the gym. I love that. Dont forget to be good to your mind. You dont train it, it’ll become weak.”

“Tell people that you love how much you love them. Tell people that you dont like, that you dont like them and why. Step into actions with boldness. But never be too ‘Alpha’ that you cant take constructive criticism. Or learn from a mistake. No matter how much it may sting, DO NOT reject the truth. And if you are a leader. Be a damn good leader. Be an example. Dont half ass anything. Dont be out of shape telling people how to be in shape. Dont be a cheater telling people not to cheat. Walk the walk. That’s it. simple common sense.”

Mike Rashid Youtube Channel

The bodybuilder wasn’t interested in sharing only training tips. He wanted for people to get interested into connecting fitness with their life in a different way, through spirituality.  It is because of this that he started his fitness Youtube Channel. He had many guests on his channels, celebrities like Danna Linn Bailey and CT Fletcher and Kai Greene.

Mike Rashid Meal Plan| Diet

While I personally utilize a low carb approach (while still including peri-workout nutrition) with weekly re-feeds, you may use whichever approach you have found success with up until this point. Many a bodybuilder has gotten shredded to the bone on good ol’ Chicken and Rice, and many have had success with a lower carb approach.  I generally recommend that aside from your intra-workout nutrition all of your calorie intake should come from whole foods as you will likely be hungry, especially towards the end, and you will be kicking yourself for downing a protein shake and being hungry again in 60-90 minutes.

If you would like to learn the basics of eating right for this style of program before you jump into going into the extreme ends of dieting like this, look no further than the Clean Bulking method.

Any of these options represent a typical Mike Rashid progression on presses. If done properly, your shoulders should feel fried. Now is the time when the BCA’s come in handy, because we aren’t done. On the following pages, I provide an entire shoulder session. Try this and your shoulder sessions will never be the same.

OPTION 3

Barbell Overhead
Strict Press

Progress to a max,
then Fatality set

Set 1
135lbs X 20 reps

Set 2
185lbs X 15 reps

Set 3

strip a plate off each side

2 25lb plates per side for 16 reps,
