Jason Hawes is an American plumber, television host, producer, author, and paranormal investigator. He is the co-founder of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), which is based in Warwick, Rhode Island.

According to Hawes, he began to see apparitions at the age of twenty after a girlfriend who practiced Reiki manipulated his life force energy. John Zaffis, a paranormal reseracher told Hawes that he was becoming sensitive to paranormal phenomena. He then founded the Rhode Island Paranormal Society (RIPS) in 1990 as a support group for people who had paranormal experiences.

Hawes is also one of the stars and co-producers of Syfy’s Ghost Hunters. Ghost Hunters ended after its eleventh season on October 26, 2016, but was later renewed for a 12th Season by A&E with new episodes premiering August of 2019.

The TAPS founder and former lead investigator, Grant Wilson leads a new team. The original Ghost Hunters cast were brought back for a brand new paranormal investigation series for the Travel Channel, “Ghost Nation.” The series premieres on Friday 11 October 2019.
