Bo Williams is an American reporter. He anchors the Good Morning Tennessee and 4 p.m. weekday newscasts at WATE 6 On Your Side. Williams has been working in television businesses since 1989. His first job was as a weekend sportscaster at WPDE-TV in the Florence/Myrtle Beach market.
Williams was later promoted to Sports Director in 1991. He went on to serve as Sports Director at WCBD-TV in Charleston South Carolina (1992) and WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, LA (1999).

Bo was later promoted to Sports Director in 1991. He went on to serve as Sports Director at WCBD-TV in Charleston South Carolina (1992) and WBRZ-TV in Baton Rouge, LA (1999). In 2002 Bo decided to leave the sports desk. He took a job as a morning news anchor at WATE-TV in Knoxville, TN.

He also puts together a weekly franchise piece called “Streetwise” in which They look at various road concerns and/or projects, anchor Breaking News from the field. Bo serves as a mentor for younger reporters, anchors, and producers.
In addition to the on-air duties, he realized the importance of social media’s impact on daily news product. It is important to keep viewers on top of what’s happening via Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc., especially when the news is not on.
Bo Williams American Cancer Society
Working at WATE 6 On Your Side for nearly 15 years, Williams has covered a wide variety of health topics and been active in the American Cancer Society of East Tennessee. Throughout his experiences during the events, he has met many survivors and their families, which has always been special for him.
“I, along with my father, unfortunately, are no strangers to skin cancer. Throughout his career, he has had co-workers who themselves, or had family members, stricken with cancer in one form or another.
Williams felt it important to help give back to the community. He is currently the President of the Advisory Board for the John T. O’Connor Senior Center in Knoxville. The Center provides a variety of programs to seniors in the Knoxville and surrounding area.
He also volunteers a lot of his time to emceeing numerous events for the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. In the past, he has served as a Cub Scout Den Leader as well as a youth soccer coach. This is all in addition to the numerous requests he receives to appear at schools, clubs and other events.

Williams is a married man. Although he has not disclosed the name of his wife. Most recently, his mother-in-law was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer and is currently undergoing chemotherapy,” Williams said. There are no reports of Bo having any children as of now.
